Guiding Principles
The body of Christ, His church, has been called to build
relationships and live in community with Him and each other. The purpose of His
church is simple – to bring glory to God.
Thus, Clallam Christian E-Bulletin (CCEB) exists to promote
collaboration among Christ-centered churches, ministries, and individuals
within Clallam County and across the North Olympic Peninsula so that, in unity,
His church may serve this community, see this community transformed, and
minister to one another, for the glory of God. This is accomplished by
providing a common platform, free of charge, for listing Christ-centered events
open to the public. Individuals may sign up to receive notification of these
events, free of charge, via email.
CCEB believes there are essential truths which bind His church
together, as expressed by our Statement
of Faith. To be included in CCEB, events must align with
the Mission Statement and Statement of Faith. CCEB acknowledges
there are differences of interpretation in some matters. Should there be any
question about the inclusion of an event, the CCEB Advisory Board serves as the final interpretive authority.
Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, completely without errors in the original writings, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe we were created in the image of God, but that, through the original sin, have each received not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, born of the Virgin Mary.
- We believe that Jesus Christ, through His sinless earthly life, substitutionary death and bodily resurrection, opened the door which, by faith alone in Christ alone, allows us to enter into an eternal, life-giving relationship with God.
- We believe that salvation is a gift of divine grace, whereby faith in Christ and repentance of sin leads to regeneration by the Holy Spirit, and an indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which enables one to live a godly life.
- We believe in the ascension of Christ to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers through the Lord, Jesus Christ, and that all true believers are members of His body, the church.
- We believe God creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
- We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage.
- We believe that human life is sacred from conception through natural death, and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of others.
Logo Description
CCEB believes that Jesus Christ is Lord of a diverse
creation, as shown by our logo, where people of four distinct colors come
together at the cross. Colors chosen are representative of His creation, and
our community – blue water, orange sun, green vegetation, and lavender.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether
Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one
Spirit. – 1 Corinthians 12:13, NASB
After these things I
looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation
and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before
the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and
they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on
the throne, and to the Lamb." – Revelation 7:9-10, NASB
Advisory Board
Members of the Advisory Board address questions regarding
the inclusion of events, and, together, serve as the final interpretive
authority on all decisions regarding CCEB. In addition, Advisory Board members
agree to support the work of CCEB by submitting events hosted by their church
or ministry, and to promote CCEB in their own church or ministry, and the
community, as they are able.
The Advisory Board relies on wisdom from God to discern if
submitted events are in compliance with the Mission
Statement and Statement of Faith.
Inclusion of an event in CCEB does not indicate complete theological agreement
with the beliefs of an individual Advisory Board member, or the church or
ministry he or she represents.
